International orphans, salsa dancing addicts, old continent's coffee shop mourners, Latinos by adoption, quasi-nerds and full bloomed ones, reckless boitereurs, intelectualoid world travelers, eternal Moustaquian meteques, closeted optimists, fluents in impossible accents and untranslatable mother tongue wisdom bearers, and, well, everybody on this colorful bunch that makes this mid-west villa a surprisingly interesting Babelian happy hour.

What are we up to?

Hibernation is close to an end, and what a better way of shaking that last bit of winter fur and light deprivation syndrome than to get together...yes, to party for no reason than cuz we want to. Have we ever needed any more substance to celebrate a 10-10?

Check out Belas Artes Cafe & Art Gallery for the Samba class and the Samba Bon gig this Friday, March 23rd, 7pm. If you have never been around Edilson Lima (teacher) let me tell you it is impossible to stay unhappy or stressed around this man. Best mental and physical decontamination experience ever!

For that weird specie of runners: We survived the 30 c temperature, the drunks, and the green dogs for the Saint Patricks Parade run. Now, after that, how hard can a half marathon be! You don't be ironman-fit to do it. Just have some huevos and a pal to chit chat your 13.2 walking or running miles. You bring the first, I'll help you with the second one. We may finish it in our fours or dragged by a leg by a fitter compasionate runner weirdo (usually the Mr. tight tushies in flashy shorts finishing under 90 min), but we are crossing that finish line, you hear me?
